‘Swarming the Natural Way’

This presentation will review why bees swarm and how we can manage swarming. The aim is to maintain strong, productive colonies by working with the bees natural inclination to reproduce. The focus will be on the key principle of swarm control and how this underpins basic swarm control methods: making a
nucleus colony or manipulating an artificial swarm (horizontal or vertical).
